The Crescent City Model Railroad Club (CCMRC) is home to one of the largest HO scale layouts in the Gulf South. We are located in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans (aka the Crescent City). We model a fictitious railroad, called the Crescent Lines, whose mainlines carry freight and passengers to and from the beautiful south.

Thanks to everyone that came out to visit us during our holiday open house season. It was a great success and we were happy to have so many visitors and kind words about the layout, models and scenery. We really enjoy showing off our house to visitors. If anyone that came to visit is interested in becoming a full time member, we are accepting new members and would be glad to have you join us to help make the Crescent Lines even better.

At the recent quarterly meeting, the Crescent City Model Railroad Club voted to rename it's Crescent City Intermodal Facility to now be known as the Sperandeo Intermodal Facility in memory of one of the club's founding members, former Model Railroader Magazine Editor Andy Sperandeo.

Check out this story about the Crescent Lines that is posted on the Hub Hobby Shop website. It was written by former member Mike Mule and Jeff Junker of Hub Hobby Shop. Much on the Crescent Lines has changed since then. Jeff says it was written about 2002. http://hubhobbyshop.com/ride-the-crescent-lines/
