The Crescent City Model Railroad Club (CCMRC) is home to one of the largest HO scale layouts in the Gulf South. We are located in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans (aka the Crescent City). We model a fictitious railroad, called the Crescent Lines, whose mainlines carry freight and passengers to and from the beautiful south.

Admission donation is $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children 6-12 and children 5 and under are free.

National Train Day Open House is May 13 from 12 noon to 6 pm
Join us on Saturday May 13th from 12 noon until 6 pm for our National Train Day Open House with a tribute to the Evolution of the Iron Horse. See early steam locomotives on up to modern diesel locomotives running on the Crescent Lines.
We have also been expanding our staging so you can see what all the work we have been doing is all about.
We have a kids layout for children to run trains on and a Timesaver switching layout that you can test your switching skills on and operate the trains yourself.
We suggest bringing a step stool for small children to stand on.
CCMRC is expanding it's staging for better operations.
Work on the track laying portion of our staging expansion is progressing rapidly. Soon it will be wired and installed for operations. Thank you to Mike at Mike's Train & Hobby Center in Kenner for helping us get the required materials and track we needed quickly and at a reasonable cost.
2017 Open House Dates have been set!
The Crescent City Model Railroad Club has set the dates for it's open house shows for 2017. The dates and themes will be:
May 13th, National Train Day Open House 12 noon - 6 pm. Featuring the Evolution of the Iron Horse.
July 8th, Summer Open House. 12 noon - 6 pm.
November 25th, Fall on the Crescent Lines, 11 am-5 pm
December 9th, 16th & 17th Christmas on the Crescent LInes, 11 am-5 pm
January 6th New Years on the Crescent Lines featuring the Golden Age of Railroading during the steam to diesel transition years.
