Layout Updates

There are lots of projects going on around the club layout right now. There are new tracks and industries getting installed in the Crescent City Industrial District and bits of scenery being replaced and refurbished. We will keep members and visitors up to date with the progress here so check back often to see what is happening. Here are a few pictures of the return track portal from Crescent City that comes back on the back side of Nickolson that was recently upgraded with a tunnel portal and removable view block in case access is needed in that area.

CCMRC Crescent Lines 60th Anniversary Club Car is in the Works

We are working with Accurail to develop a 50 foot boxcar for the Crescent Lines as a 60^th Anniversary Celebration of our club. CCMRC Crescent Lines 60th Anniversary Club Car

CCMRC Crescent Lines 60th Anniversary Club Car is in the works.

This is the artwork from Accurail of how the car will look. We are accepting pre-orders now. The car will be available for a donation of $30.00 each plus $6.00 shipping for the first car and $2.00 for each additional car. It is a 50 foot boxcar to celebrate 60 years of the Crescent City Model Railroad Club. To reserve your car please send your payment for the appropriate amount to CCMRC, 601 N. Lester Ave, Metairie, LA 70003-6131. Expected delivery is in July.
